What a Mommy Makeover involves
Four stages — from the initial assessment to the follow-up check. You’ll know in advance how the preparation, surgery, and recovery unfold.
- 1
Preliminary assessment by the doctor
Send photos and describe the changes you’d like. The doctor will assess your anatomy and the possible scope of correction. An online consultation with the doctor is also available.
- 2
Consultation and preparation in Istanbul
Before surgery, you’ll have an in-person consultation with the doctor and the necessary preoperative workup — its scope depends on the type of surgery and anesthesia.
Preparation and tests
Before your trip, the coordinator will send a short list: which medications to stop in advance, what to bring, and how to prepare for the flight.
From your photos, the doctor makes an initial assessment of which changes concern you most and suggests a plan. In Istanbul, before surgery, there are blood tests, an ECG, and a consultation with the anesthesiologist. The doctor examines your breasts and abdomen, and together you finalize which procedures to include. If the tests suggest postponing surgery, you’ll know in advance.

Surgery
A Mommy Makeover is not a single operation but a combination the doctor tailors to you — for example, a breast lift or breast augmentation together with abdominoplasty or liposuction. The length and type of anesthesia depend on which procedures are included — the doctor will specify these after the examination. After surgery, the patient stays one night in the clinic under medical supervision.
During the surgery
Pregnancy and childbirth change every body differently: for some the breasts are the main concern, for others the abdomen. That’s why the procedures are chosen after the examination, not from a fixed template.
Breast
A lift, augmentation with implants, or a combination of the two — depending on shape and volume.
Abdomen and body
Abdominoplasty for excess skin and separated muscles, liposuction for localized fat deposits.
Whether everything can be done in a single operation or is better divided into stages is something the doctor decides based on your health and the extent of the correction.

Recovery
After discharge, recovery continues at your hotel, and the assistants stay in touch with you. Your recovery routine depends on which procedures were included; on day 7 the doctor performs a follow-up check.
Recovery day by day
0After surgery — one night at the clinic under medical supervision.
1An examination before discharge and transfer to the hotel. Swelling, bruising, and a feeling of tightness can be a normal part of recovery after surgery.
2–6Recovery at your hotel and following the doctor’s guidance — compression garments and activity restrictions are matched to your procedures.
7The final check before you leave. By this point any drains that were placed have already been removed, dressings have been changed and stitches taken out. The doctor makes sure that healing is going normally and there are no signs of complications.
Risks and contraindicationsPatient safety is the priority at every stage. Before the procedure, the doctor assesses the patient’s health.
Risks
Like any surgery, a combination of procedures carries possible risks, including bleeding, infection, swelling, temporary changes in sensation, asymmetry, and the way scars form. When several procedures are combined, the demands on the body are greater, so the doctor and anesthesiologist assess your health especially carefully. The possible risks are discussed with you before surgery.
Contraindications
Acute illnesses and inflammatory conditions, blood clotting disorders, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and certain chronic conditions may be grounds for postponing surgery or doing further testing. If a pregnancy is planned in the future, surgery is usually recommended to be delayed. The decision on whether surgery can be performed is made by the doctors after assessing the patient’s health.

Questions and answers
Ask a question →How much does the surgery cost?
The cost is calculated individually. The doctor provides it after reviewing your photos. Send them on WhatsApp — you’ll receive a plan and the full price.
Which procedures are part of a Mommy Makeover?
There’s no fixed package. Most often it’s a breast procedure combined with abdominoplasty or liposuction. The doctor finalizes the plan after the examination.
Can everything be done in one operation?
Sometimes yes, sometimes it’s safer to divide it into stages. The doctor decides based on your health and the extent of the correction.
How soon after childbirth can surgery be done?
Your body needs to recover from pregnancy, and breastfeeding should be complete. The doctor will discuss the right timing with you at your consultation.
When can I return to work and sports?
Timing is individual and depends on how your recovery goes. The doctor will give you personal recommendations at the follow-up check and will stay in touch with you after you return home.
How many days do I need to be in Istanbul?
For surgeries under general anesthesia we recommend 7–8 days in Istanbul — from arrival to the follow-up check; under local anesthesia, 2–3 days. The coordinator will agree exact dates with you after the doctor’s preliminary assessment.
When can I fly home?
After the follow-up check on day 7. The doctor clears you to go home once he’s confident your recovery is on track.
