What rhinoplasty involves
Four stages — from the initial assessment to the follow-up check. You’ll know in advance how the preparation, surgery, and recovery unfold.

Preliminary assessment by the doctor
Send photos and describe the changes you’d like. The doctor will assess your anatomy and the possible extent of correction. An online consultation with the doctor is also available. For rhinoplasty, it includes Photoshop simulation of an approximate result.

Consultation and preparation in Istanbul
Before surgery, you’ll have an in-person consultation with the doctor and a full pre-op workup: blood tests, an ECG, and a consultation with the anesthesiologist.
Preparation and tests
Before your trip, the coordinator will send a short list: which medications to stop in advance, what to bring, and how to prepare for the flight.

Surgery
Rhinoplasty is performed under general anesthesia and takes approximately 2–4 hours — the duration depends on the scope of the surgery, the starting anatomy and individual factors. After surgery, the patient stays one night at the clinic under medical supervision.
Anesthesia and the procedure
The anesthesiologist is with you the whole time — from going under to waking up. The doctor reshapes the bone with a piezo instrument (Piezo): ultrasound works precisely and is gentler on soft tissue than a traditional chisel.
Closed
All incisions are inside the nose, with no external marks.
Open
A small incision on the columella between the nostrils — more visibility for a complex tip and revision surgery.
The doctor will tell you which approach suits you from your photos and confirm it at the examination.

Recovery
After discharge, recovery continues at your hotel, and the assistants stay in touch with you. On day 7, the doctor performs a follow-up check and removes the splint.

2–6Recovery at the hotel while following the doctor’s recommendations. It’s advised to sleep with your head elevated and to avoid bending over and physical exertion.
7The final check before you leave and removal of the nasal splint. By this point dressings have been changed and any stitches taken out. The doctor makes sure that healing is going normally and there are no signs of complications.
12 moSwelling gradually subsides, and the final shape of the nose takes form over time. The nasal tip may take longer to heal. Scheduled photo check-ins let the doctor follow how recovery is progressing.
Risks and contraindicationsPatient safety is the priority at every stage. Before surgery, the doctor assesses the patient’s health based on the consultation and examinations.
Risks
As with any surgical procedure, rhinoplasty carries possible risks, including bleeding, infection, swelling, temporary changes in sensation, asymmetry, and other individual reactions. In some cases, an additional correction may be needed. The possible risks are discussed with the patient before surgery.
Contraindications
Acute illnesses and inflammatory conditions, blood-clotting disorders, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and certain chronic conditions may be grounds for postponing surgery or for further evaluation. The decision on whether surgery can proceed is made by the doctors after assessing the patient’s health.

The cost is calculated individually. The doctor gives it after reviewing your photos. Send them on WhatsApp — you’ll receive a plan and the full package price.
When will the swelling go down?
Noticeable swelling and bruising fade within the first few weeks. The nasal tip heals the longest — the final shape is visible by 12 months. The doctor follows this through photo check-ins.
How many days do I need to be in Istanbul?
We recommend 7–8 days: arrival the day before surgery, one night in the clinic, then the hotel. On day 7 — a follow-up check, splint removal, and departure.
Will the scars be visible?
With closed rhinoplasty, all incisions are inside the nose — none are visible from the outside. With the open approach, a thin scar remains on the columella between the nostrils; over time it usually becomes barely noticeable.
When can I return to work and sports?
Timing is individual and depends on how your recovery goes. The doctor will give you personal recommendations at the follow-up check and will stay in touch with you after you return home.
When can I fly home?
On day 7, after the follow-up check and splint removal. The doctor clears you to go home once satisfied that everything is in order.
