How breast augmentation works
Four stages — from the initial assessment to the follow-up check. You’ll know in advance how the preparation, surgery, and recovery unfold.

Preliminary assessment by the doctor
Send photos and describe the changes you’d like. The doctor will assess your anatomy and the possible scope of correction. An online consultation with the doctor is also available.

Consultation and preparation in Istanbul
Before surgery, you’ll have an in-person consultation with the doctor and the necessary preoperative workup — its scope depends on the type of surgery and anesthesia.
Preparation and tests
During the consultation, the doctor discusses your wishes and assesses your anatomy: the shape and volume of your own breasts, the shape of your chest, the structure of your skin, and the position of the nipples. Based on this, the shape and size of the implant are chosen and a surgical plan is made.
Before surgery, you'll have lab tests and a consultation with the anesthesiologist. If you take any medications or have chronic conditions, please let us know in advance — the doctor will give you personalized guidance on how to prepare.

Surgery
The surgery follows an individual plan made after the examination and implant selection, and takes about 2 hours — approximately, depending on the scope of the surgery and individual factors. The type of anesthesia will be discussed with you in advance. After surgery, you’ll stay one night at the clinic under medical supervision.
During the surgery
As a rule, the implants used are filled with a silicone-based gel — an elastic, biocompatible material. The market offers dozens of brands and hundreds of options that differ in shape, volume, profile type, and other parameters.
This is why volume alone is not what matters: shape, size, and profile are selected based on your examination and body structure. Choosing the right option on your own is nearly impossible — the specialist’s guidance is the main reference point.

Recovery
The recovery period is usually not very painful — at first, only arm movement is limited. After discharge, recovery continues at the hotel; a special bra is worn for 6 weeks, and the doctor performs a follow-up check before your flight home.

7The final check before you leave. By this point any drains that were placed have already been removed, dressings have been changed and stitches taken out. The doctor makes sure that healing is going normally and there are no signs of complications.

6–12 moFinal breast shape. Any temporary numbness or reduced sensation in the areola and breast skin gradually resolves over time.
Risks and contraindicationsPatient safety is the priority at every stage. Before the procedure, the doctor assesses the patient’s health.
Risks
Like any surgery, breast augmentation carries possible risks, including bleeding, infection, swelling, temporary changes in sensation of the areola and breast skin, asymmetry, as well as implant-related risks such as hardening of the capsule around it or displacement. In some cases, additional correction may be needed. All possible risks are discussed with the patient before surgery.
Contraindications
Acute illnesses and inflammatory conditions, blood-clotting disorders, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and certain chronic conditions may be grounds for postponing surgery or performing additional evaluation. The decision on whether surgery can proceed is made by the doctors after assessing the patient’s health.

The cost is calculated individually. The doctor provides it after reviewing your photos. Send them on WhatsApp — you’ll receive a plan and the full price.
When will the swelling go down?
Swelling goes down and the breasts take their shape over at least one month. The final breast shape can take 6 to 12 months to develop.
Will the scars be visible?
The location of the incision and how the scar will look depend on the chosen approach and your skin characteristics. The doctor will discuss this with you during the consultation.
When can I return to work and sports?
Timing is individual and depends on how your recovery goes. The doctor will give you personal recommendations at the follow-up check and will stay in touch with you after you return home.
Will breast sensation change?
At first, you may notice numbness or reduced sensation in the areola and breast skin. This gradually resolves over time.
How many days do I need to be in Istanbul?
For surgeries under general anesthesia we recommend 7–8 days in Istanbul — from arrival to the follow-up check; under local anesthesia, 2–3 days. The coordinator will agree exact dates with you after the doctor’s preliminary assessment.
When can I fly home?
After the follow-up check on day 7. The doctor clears you to go home once he’s confident your recovery is on track.
